The SBC Management System provides overview and insight into your organization, processes, processing of personal data and other business objects, in this case the area of responsibility and liability of your organization. With the learning environment you ensure awareness and knowledge among management and employees. These are necessary preconditions for behavioral change with regard to data protection and information security.

By applying the SBC Management System and the learning environment, registers and loggings are created that form the basis for compliance with legal and contractual accountability.

DPOs appreciate SBC as a professional management system

Experience shows that Data Protection Officers (DPOs) and compliance employees can work well with the management system. The DPOs appreciate that we take their advice into account when developing new functionalities and optimizing existing functionalities.

The role of DPO is often fulfilled by external employees. We have recognized this and have designed the management system in such a way that an (external) DPO can serve several companies without a company being subject to an “DPO lock in”.

The SBC Management System comes with its own learning environment and the following functionalities.

SBC Privacy

You will receive a register of processing operations. This way you keep an overview and insight into the data processing for which you are the controller or processor, and of the related parties such as suppliers, processors and recipients. In addition to the processing, it is also possible to administer the processes and information systems that ensure that the processing can take place.

SBC Data Leaks and Incidents

You will receive a data breach register. Here you can record and manage security incidents related to personal data. You can also enter the notification(s) to the supervisory authority and/or others such as data subjects or processors, including all considerations (decision model) and activities, in the data breach register.

SBC Data Subject Requests

You can register requests from data subjects for inspection, rectification and destruction, for example, and you can monitor the progress of the processing.

SBC Contract

You will receive a register of contracts. The need to have an overview and insight into your contracts and to properly record these contracts in a contract administration or register is evident: failure to comply with contract agreements or not to extend or terminate contracts in time can have major adverse and financial consequences for the have an organization.

SBC Research

Here you can record the results of all kinds of investigations, ranging from an external audit and a performed DPIA to continuous monitoring of the operation of your control measures.

SBC Accountability

The registers and the logging of the SBC Management System clearly show who made which changes at what time. This creates a systematic and controlled record of facts that also form the basis for compliance with the accountability obligation of Article 5.2 GDPR.
